Mister Motor is a unique one of a kind daruma inspired by one from a special time in my life. A Daruma is a hollow, round, Japanese traditional doll modeled after Bodhidharma, the founder of the Zen tradition of Buddhism. These dolls are usually red and depict a bearded man. They have a design that is rich in symbolism and are regarded more as a symbol of good luck. Often times darumas are used to track a goal. A goal or wish is selected and the left eye is filled in. Once the goal is achieved, the right eye is filled in.
