Dindim is a character inspired by the true story of a Magellanic penguin. He was rescued by Joao Periera de Souza in 2011. Joao found Dindim covered in oil on the beach of a small island off the coast of Brazil. Upon nursing Dindim back to health Joao released him back into the wild. But to his surprise Dindim returned to thank him and since has returned every year to thank him for that faithful day.
